Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga moves us through different postures progressively and mindfully with the breath. By focusing on individual alignment and specialised movement sequences this style of yoga helps build and maintain strong bones, muscles and connective tissue whilst activating and maintaining increased metabolism, healthy posture, and an active and alive body and mind. Class will be adapted in intensity and progress depending on group and individual needs- take it easy or take it to the next level and be challenged - 20 in a class

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a practice in which poses are held in a relaxed meditative state promoting mindfulness and calming of the nervous system.

The sustained postures help to deeply release the connective tissues (fascia) muscles, ligaments and tendons - increasing circulation throughout the body, hydration of the tissues and lubrication of the joints and capsules.

Yin helps to let go - restoring balance and reorganising the cells and systems of the whole body. Yin is deeply relaxing, improves natural energy flow and balances the organs and is especially effective in dealing with stress and anxiety - 20 in a class.

Meditation & Mindfulness

Based on the philosophy of Vipassana meditation (which is to learn to observe things objectively), this class has been designed to teach participants to mindfully choose how they think, feel and behave rather than mind-lessly reacting to everything around them.

Students will be guided on how to achieve an “equanimous mind” and then encouraged to try and achieve that peaceful state - 20 in class.
