Remedial massage is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. Remedial massage therapists employ soft tissue manipulation and massage and at times other modalities where necessary such as cupping, and passive muscle stretching. This encourages healing of the soft tissue and flushes away toxins, improving blood and oxygen circulation.
